review: the toluca lake pumpkin patch

There is nothing more relaxing than the site of pumpkin patches in the fall. The imagery of scarecrows sticking out among hundreds of different pumpkins laying among piles of hay has been used for decades in tv and film, and now in social media…..and for good reason.

One of LA’s best autumnal attractions is the Toluca Lake Pumpkin Patch (TLPP). This cinematic outdoor tented pumpkin patch feels like a place frozen in time. Numerous beautifully hand-painted vintage signs gaze out over hundreds of pumpkins as people shop around. Without question, the best part of the Pumpkin Patch is the haunted maze towards the back of the patch.

The TLPP maze is filled with classic Halloween characters, beautiful lighting, incredible sound, and a plethora of amazing animatronics. Going through the maze you will be transported into a strange and unique world that makes you feel like you’re living and breathing a Hammer Horror film. And sometimes…. if you’re lucky... you might run into a very secret character who gives some mischievous scares.
