REVIEW: RIZO SCAREHOUSE
Tucked within the wasteland of the Inland Empire is Rizo Scarehouse. This haunt is both exhilarating and frightening as the original characters contained within the maze run circles around you as you try to find a way out. This maze started as a Rialto back yard haunt 5 years ago, and has now found a permanent home in a warehouse off of the 10 freeway.
Rizo Scarehouse begins with a van ride. I won’t spoil what happens, but I will say that I’ve never encountered this experience before. There are moments during the maze where you are given the choice of going into multiple directions. More often than not, you will end up in the wrong place! It feels unhinged as you crawl, scream, and run. It is so crazy that you might even have a beer keg thrown at you!
Rizo is a really creative and original maze, full of personality, and ran by a passionate group of friends. The high tension world that they have created is a burst of adrenaline for all who visit. If you're heading to Apple Valley from LA for Jordan's haunt or All Saints Lunatic Asylum, you HAVE to give Rizo Scarehouse a visit! If you can’t make it during haunt season, rumor is that they will be active for the rest of this year.
