REVIEW: Opechee Haunt: Jack’s Halloween JamBOOree! 2

Going in the opposite direction from last year’s Donnie Darko Experience, the Opechee Haunt (aka Sam Kellman) has traded in suspense for the whimsical with “Jack’s Halloween JamBOOree! 2”. A sequel to the 2017 Halloween production, audience members will find themselves once again marvelling at a cemetery filled with animated jack-o’-lanterns and ghostly residents.

The JamBOOree incorporates incredibly talented performers, beautiful projections, masterfully coordinated stunts, and thrilling effects to bring you a truly unique Halloween experience. Your wise-cracking pumpkin hosts, Jack and Gus, will emcee a twenty minute show in which you will encounter ghost comedians, supernatural entities, and ultimately a mysterious villain. There are nods to the Twilight Zone and Haunted Mansion along with comedic influences that range from the Muppets to Bob Baker. A quick comparison would be to picture a Halloween version of the Enchanted Tiki Room - where you can relax and enjoy the entertainment of an ensemble of animated jack-o’-lanterns.

Jack’s Halloween JamBOOree is a lighthearted show appropriate for Halloween enthusiasts of all ages. It stands out as a rare, goreless seasonal attraction that perfectly represents the spirit of Halloween. It’s hard to believe that this technically proficient and creatively ingenious production is created by someone who is only seventeen! Jack’s Halloween JamBOOree! 2 is proof that Opechee Haunt has once again transcended expectations.
