review: HAYDENVILLE HAUNTER

We have been making it a habit for years to visit Haydenville Haunter and last year's maze brought us deep into the Catacombs of Paris. This year they have changed their theme completely and created a demonic dollhouse. It is up to you to make it out alive!

The dollhouse's exquisite hand painted exterior is contrasted by the evil lurking within - demonic dolls who haunt rooms illuminated by dim candlelight. Towards the exit of the house you even get a surprise mechanical scare in the bedroom - it got us good but we don't want to spoil it for you. The beautiful creepiness of this haunt was complemented by the original soundtrack created by Warren So of Hollywood Gothique specifically for this maze.

Somehow Haydenville Haunter, working within the limited space of a driveway, has managed to build a wonderfully crafted world of horror. While our visit didn't have any scare actors, we were told that they will be present for Halloween weekend. For those haunting out in the Riverside area we highly suggest you make a stop to visit this spooky world that they have created for the 2023 season.
