REVIEW: Beware the Dark Realm

A legendary maze, “Beware the Dark Realm” has been haunting its neighborhood annually since 2013. Created by Scott Sivley and his family, who have been making haunts since 1971, Beware the Dark Realm showcases extraordinary talent and masterful craftsmanship. A true visionary, Scott Sivley has been the inspiration for multiple generations of haunt builders. The world that he has created gives evidence to the creative heights one can achieve within the limited space of a DIY yard haunt.

The medieval theme of Dark Realm has remained constant throughout the years, with each season bringing new twists on a familiar tale. This fantastic journey through horrors and haunted manors will take you deep within castle corridors and face-to-face with turrets inhabited by blood-thirsty monsters. A giant mechanized dragon looms above you as you try to escape from the inhabitants of this evil castle who want you for their next meal. As fog rolls through the gloomy, candle-lit castle passages and seeps into your bones as you cautiously navigate through the catacombs, you will be both horrified and entranced by this wicked world.

Beware the Dark Realm is a masterpiece which rivals any theme park attraction. In addition, entrance is free to the public. Never making a profit from his maze, Sivley and his family instead collect donations for the Child & Family Center of Santa Clarita.
