REVIEW: Arcadia’s High School Haunted House
This past weekend we attended the Acadia High School’s haunted house and were delighted by how much we enjoyed it. Each room was filled with imaginative set designs, playful ghouls, and screaming teens. We saw scarecrows, werewolves, and clowns prowling areas which normally would be hallways filled with students running to class.
One of the most impressive rooms contained medieval armor and statuesque knights. To everyone’s surprise, one of the knights came to life and started swinging his sword. Another room we really enjoyed was a darkened room which was lined with 6-foot mirrors, black lights, and transparent tents. Everybody was startled when Pennywise appeared to scare the children by surrounding them from the shadows.
Although it was only open for two nights earlier in the season, it was abundantly evident that the Arcadia High School haunters put a lot of work into creating a professionally crafted and enthralling haunt. We were very impressed by their work, and can’t wait to return next year to see what new scares they will cook up.
