review: ALL SAINTS LUNATIC ASYLUM

To conclude our week celebrating the gems of Apple Valley, we will now discuss how wonderful our visit was to the All Saints Lunatic Asylum (ASLA). This maze quickly outgrew itself as a home haunt years ago and then moved into a shopping center down the street from Jordan's High Desert Haunt. As ASLA has expanded through the years with its set builds, lighting, sound, and scare actors - it has become an icon within the haunt community.

Immediately upon your entrance you are placed inside of a dark "elevator" which brings you down into the Asylum. Once inside you spend the next twenty minutes looping through vignettes, like a medic room and ward, that are rich with set details and in-depth scare acting. The maze has new additions, like more animatronics, that were complemented by real caskets. Additionally, their use of complete darkness with wonderful mysterious entities throughout parts of the maze elevated the experience to new levels this season.

All Saints Lunatic Asylum is a legendary destination for LA haunters. For years they have consistently delivered a high-caliber and fun experience for anyone looking for a quality scare. We will conclude by re-emphasizing to all LA haunters: take a night to head out to the Apple Valley region to experience the wonderful minds (ASLA, Fear Farm, and Jordan's High Desert Haunt) that make mazes out there!
